Cindy
Owner

Cindy is a former professional dancer with Florida Dance Theater and the Tampa Bay Ballet. She has always had an eye for dance fashion and loves helping dancers get the perfect fit so they can feel confident! She is always on the lookout for the best new styles! She has been running a studio and teaching in the area for over 10 years. She also is the artistic director of professional dance company Diversiform Dance Project!

Kate
Store Manager, Pointe Shoe Fitter

Kate holds both a BA and an MFA in Dance and has been dancing for over 20 years. She is a dancer with Diversform Dance Project and serves as the director of its non-professional adult company, DDP2. As the sole manager at Tutus and Tendus, Kate finds fulfillment in leading a fun-loving, supportive crew. She is also a pointe fitter and takes great pride in mentoring the next generation of dancers, helping them grow both professionally and personally. Coffee fuels her enthusiasm and passion for the job. Outside of the studio, Kate shares her life with her grey cat, Zeus, and enjoys mountain biking adventures with her wife.

Becca
Assistant Store Manager

Becca has been a vital part of Tutus and Tendus since October 2022, excelling as our assistant manager and keeping the store running smoothly. With six years of dance experience, she brings expertise from OU Ballroom Dance Club and 2nd Street Studio, training in ballroom, ballet, and modern. Her passion shines in styles like tango, Viennese waltz, and mambo. Becca is the queen of inventory and restocking, and loves helping customers find everything they need. Outside of work, she enjoys sipping Diet Dr. Pepper, listening to K-pop, and playing video games.

Lilly
Pointe Shoe Fitter

Lilly has been an integral part of Tutus and Tendus since day one, even helping with the original construction of the store. As both a manager and a skilled pointe shoe fitter, she combines her deep knowledge of dance with a passion for helping others, ensuring each dancer finds the perfect fit and support. With over 10 years of continuous dance experience in ballet, pointe, pom, hip hop, and jazz, Lilly’s expertise and dedication set her apart. Outside of work, she stays energized with Diet Coke and coffee, enjoys quality time with her kids, and finds joy in thrifting, cooking, and relaxing with Jeopardy!

Ashley
Tutus Crew Member, Pointe Fitter Trainee

Ashley brings over two decades of dance experience to our team and holds a BA in Dance Education. Trained in contemporary, jazz, and ballet, she is the Director of Novi Community School District’s Dance Program and a professional dancer and choreographer with Diversiform Dance Project. Now training as a pointe shoe fitter, she’s especially excited to help her first “first-year-on-pointe” dancer find the perfect shoes. Ashley loves floral-printed and velvet leotards with matching skirts. Fun fact: she doesn’t drink coffee or tea, but never says no to a Starbucks Pink Drink. And if there’s lobster on the menu, she’s all in!

Tatym
Tutus Crew Member

Tatym joined Tutus and Tendus in 2024 bringing 14 years of dance experience with her. She trains in ballet, contemporary, and jazz at the School of Eisenhower Dance Detroit. Contemporary dance is her favorite for its ability to mix graceful and sharp movements. One of her favorite moments at Tutus was helping create beaded bracelets for the pointe shoe fitting area. Outside of work, Tatym enjoys Diet Coke and dancing with Eisenhower's youth ensemble, EDDYE. Her favorite ballet is The Nutcracker, where she had the joy of performing as Mother Ginger last year.

Maddy
Tutus Crew Member

Since joining Tutus and Tendus in July 2024, Maddy has brought her enthusiasm and extensive dance background to the crew. With training in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and a bit of ballroom, she’s especially passionate about contemporary dance for its creative freedom with movement and technique. Maddy loves an ice-cold Coke and cherishes working with young dancers, helping them find the perfect dance shoes, and reliving her childhood dance adventures. She dances at 2nd Street Studio of Dance and adores spending time with her beautiful cat, Salem.

Abbey
Tutus Crew Member

Abbey joined the Tutus and Tendus team in the summer of 2024, bringing 14 years of dance experience with her. She’s trained in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, and jazz, with ballet being her favorite for the unique characters and discipline it requires. Abbey dances at the Rochester School of Dance and loves working with younger dancers, especially when she gets to help them find their first pair of shoes. Outside of work, Abbey enjoys spending time with her cat, Max, and can often be found sipping on a Witches Brew Alani Nu.

Elena
Tutus Crew Member

Elena has been a crew member at Tutus and Tendus since November 2022, bringing a wealth of dance experience to the team. She’s skilled in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, pointe, modern, contemporary, and hip-hop, with a special passion for hip-hop due to its freedom and self-expression. When she’s not at Tutus, Elena enjoys a refreshing Celsius and loves spending time with her dachshund and two black cats. She’s also an assistant varsity cheer coach, majors in social work, dances with OU Vitality, and finds joy in reading mystery books.

Reagan
Tutus Crew Member

Reagan has been with Tutus and Tendus for 2 years, blending her lifelong dance passion with her role. Trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, musical theatre, and character dance, she especially loves ballet for its beauty and varied roles. Dancing since childhood, Reagan trains at the Rochester School of Dance and performs with Michigan Ballet Theater. She enjoys helping young dancers, especially with their first pair of pointe shoes. Outside work, Reagan paints, makes art, and enjoys a Diet Coke while spending time with her two dachshunds, Hank and Lola.

Amanda
Tutus Crew Member, Pointe Fitter Trainee

Amanda has been a Tutus Crew Member since September 2024. With 6 years of dance experience, she currently studies ballet at Oakland University and will soon join 2nd Street Studio. Trained in contemporary, jazz, lyrical, and ballet, Amanda loves contemporary ballet for its mix of classical and modern styles. Outside of work, she enjoys iced caramel lattes, makeup, skincare, working out, reading, and collecting vinyls. She’s also a huge Taylor Swift fan and an enthusiastic dog lover.

Emily
Tutus Crew Member

Emily has been with Tutus and Tendus since July 2024 and brings 14 years of dance experience, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. She loves contemporary dance for its creative freedom and enjoys a Strawberry Arnold Palmer. Emily finds joy in helping young dancers find their perfect shoes, and she dances with Vitality (OU’s dance club/team), having previously trained at Second Street Studio of Dance. She also has three cats, enjoys singing, and loves doing diamond art.
